Technical Support Overview

There are two venues for technical and user-to-user support for the Damascus, possible with tools provided by SourceForge:

  1. Usage, Short-Term: For issues pertaining to the installation or usage of Damascus, it is best to use the project's discussion forums. This allows a lasting record of the discussion, and makes it easy for people who encounter the same issue later to find a solution without re-starting the whole discussion from the beginning.
  2. Strategic, Long-Term: For issues which which pertain to long-term strategic decisions concerning the future development of the Damascus project, the best place to record these issues is in one of the project's issue trackers. This allows each specific issue to be tracked and managed over the lifespan of the project, and provides a historical record documenting why specific decisions were made.
